The Good Bookman: Gary Austin
By Edith Reynolds
April 29, 2004

The Good Bookman is a regular feature profiling a bookseller in each column. The Good Bookman will reveal what our colleagues are doing in the hopes we can all learn from each other's experiences. To have your bookselling business considered for The Good Bookman, send an email to editor@bookologist.com.

Gary Austin, today's Good Bookman, wears two hats: that of bookman and that of show promoter. Most of those who know him, know Gary to be a great kidder, good sport, and an avid outdoorsman. Gary's contribution to the trade is that, along with his friend and business partner Bruce Gventer, has developed several wonderful book fairs.
