Announcement: Mid-Atlantic Chapter of ABAA Lecture
By Edith Reynolds
February 12, 2004

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a special way by attending the Mid-Atlantic Chapter's (MAC) ABAA luncheon lecture at the National Arts Club. On Wednesday, March 17 at 1 p.m., John Buchtel, Curator of Rare Books at the Sheridan Libraries of Johns Hopkins University, will deliver a talk titled "Adventures of a Bright Green Curator" followed by a Q and A session.

The National Arts Club in NYC is located at 15 Gramercy Park between 19th and 20th streets. The event features a three-course luncheon and costs $10 for ABAA members, $20 for non-members. All are welcome. A cash bar will be available and because space is limited, reservations should be made early.

Mr. Buchtel is well known within the rare bookseller community and many remember him when he was a half-time Curator of Collections at the Rare Book School at the University of VA.

Checks should be made out to MAC or pay at the door. Reservations are being accepted by Pageant Books, Box 1081, Canal St. Station in NYC 10013-0862. Inquiries may be directed to Shirley Solomon, MAC chair at 212-674-5296. Faxed reservations may be sent to 419-715-7588.
